Your first session is a gentle space to share what’s bringing you to therapy and to begin getting to know one another. We’ll talk about your goals, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your needs and pace, with space for questions and clarity about next steps.

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation call for new clients. This gives us an opportunity to connect, discuss what you’re looking for, and see if Tonalli Healing feels like the right fit. If not, I’m always happy to provide referrals to trusted colleagues in the community.

I work with individuals (14+), offering individual therapy for those navigating high-functioning anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions. Or those simply seeking a desire to reconnect with themselves. Many of my clients appear strong and capable on the outside while quietly managing internal overwhelm or exhaustion.
My practice is grounded in supporting BIPOC, multicultural, and first-generation clients, creating space to explore how culture, identity, and lived experience shape mental health. All are welcome in this space of gentleness, curiosity, and healing.
-
My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally grounded. I draw from a variety of evidence-based and holistic modalities, including:
Person-Centered Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Creative expression and mindfulness-based techniques
Together, we’ll choose what feels most supportive for your healing journey.
-
Most therapy sessions are 50–60 minutes, with 90-minute sessions available for EMDR or when more time is needed. We can decide together what feels best based on your goals and needs.
-
Therapy is most effective with consistency. Many clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and safety, and later transition to biweekly or monthly meetings as progress unfolds.
